Microsoft Commerce team is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead product strategy and execution for AI-powered commerce experiences. The role involves partnering with engineering, design, data science, and marketing teams to deliver innovative products that drive customer and business outcomes. Responsibilities include defining product roadmap, leading end-to-end development, stakeholder alignment, and continuous product improvement using data and customer insights. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with 6+ years experience in engineering, product management, or data analysis, plus 3+ years managing cross-functional projects. Preferred qualifications include 12+ years experience, expertise in large-scale online services, advertising platforms, AI/ML technologies, operational excellence, and strong leadership skills. Experience with SQL, analytics, telemetry, and business intelligence tools is expected. The position requires passing Microsoft Cloud background checks. Locations: Redmond, WA and Mountain View, CA. Salary range typical US: $142,800 - $274,800; SF Bay Area and NYC: $188,000 - $304,200.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements including Microsoft Cloud background check
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in relevant fields OR equivalent experience
Experience operating and supporting large-scale online services with significant customer and business impact
Experience with online advertising platforms, marketplaces, auction systems, search technologies, recommendation systems, commerce platforms, or other large-scale digital ecosystems
Experience leading incident response, root-cause investigations, post-incident reviews, and operational excellence initiatives
Experience building or improving observability, monitoring, anomaly detection, telemetry, or operational health frameworks
Experience working with machine learning, AI-powered systems, predictive analytics, or intelligent automation technologies
Demonstrated ability to influence engineering, product, and business leaders without direct authority
Track record of driving measurable improvements in reliability, operational excellence, customer experience, or business outcomes
8+ years of experience leading complex cross-functional technical initiatives spanning multiple organizations
Experience analyzing large-scale datasets and using data to drive technical and business decisions
Hands-on experience with SQL, analytics platforms, telemetry systems, or business intelligence tools
Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across organizational boundaries
Solid written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to executive audiences
Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments
