Technical Account Manager (Agency) role at Smartly involves solution consulting, onboarding, and customer enablement for agency partners and clients. Responsibilities include supporting new business and account expansion, leading technical discovery, designing and presenting solutions, validating platform setup, managing onboarding execution, configuring workflows, driving time-to-value, collaborating with internal teams, supporting platform usage expansion, and providing feedback to Product and Engineering. Requirements include experience in technical account management or similar roles, supporting customer lifecycle engagements, strong communication and problem-solving skills, technical aptitude, and experience with enterprise customers or advertising technology. What you'll do

  • Partner with Agency Partners to support new business opportunities and account expansion by ensuring proposed solutions can be successfully activated and scaled
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer objectives, workflows, operational requirements, and implementation needs
  • Design and present solution recommendations, demos, and workflow walkthroughs for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Validate platform setup, integrations, and implementation requirements to reduce onboarding friction and improve activation readiness
  • Own end-to-end onboarding execution for new customers and agency cohorts, from post-sale handoff through first live workflows
  • Configure and implement Smartly workflows, providing hands-on guidance and practical training to agency teams and customers
  • Drive time-to-first-value by proactively identifying and removing blockers throughout onboarding and activation
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Agency Activation teams to deliver a consistent and scalable customer experience
  • Support customers as they expand platform usage through workflow guidance, best practices, and technical consultation
  • Provide structured customer feedback to Product and Engineering teams to improve onboarding experiences, activation outcomes, and platform scalability

Requirements

  • Experience in Technical Account Management, Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, Customer Onboarding, Implementation Consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role
  • Experience supporting pre-sales, post-sales, or full customer lifecycle engagements
  • Ability to conduct structured discovery and translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
  • Strong presentation, demo, and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders
  • Experience delivering onboarding programs, implementation projects, or workflow-based customer training
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach to driving outcomes
  • Ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously while maintaining quality and execution speed
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to learn complex platforms and explain technical concepts in clear, accessible ways
  • Comfortable discussing integrations, workflows, platform configuration, and operational processes
  • Experience working with enterprise customers, agencies, advertising technology, or digital marketing platforms is a plus
