Full job description

Samba seeks an SVP of Marketing to lead brand building, creative content, and AI-powered marketing innovation. This full-time executive role requires 10+ years of experience in B2B enterprise marketing within ad tech or martech, with proven revenue impact and team scaling expertise. Responsibilities include owning brand voice and identity, building a content engine, leading creative development, developing marketing strategy aligned with business goals, driving AI marketing workflows, managing marketing operations and budget, and representing Samba at industry events. The candidate must have strong storytelling, writing, and visual communication skills, deep analytics and marketing automation proficiency, and a collaborative leadership style. Experience with PR, sales support, event marketing, ABM, and B2B SaaS is preferred. Salary range is $250K-$400K annually, with additional benefits including health insurance, wellness, retirement plans, and paid time off.

What you'll do

  • Own Samba’s brand voice, visual identity, positioning, and public presence
  • Build a content engine producing editorial, long-form, social, video, data reports, and owned media
  • Craft compelling brand stories showcasing Samba’s data advantage and AI innovation
  • Lead creative development across channels including data visualizations, infographics, video, case studies, and thought leadership
  • Produce or oversee production of high-quality marketing materials
  • Build thought leadership programs positioning Samba executives as industry authorities
  • Leverage Samba’s data to create industry reports and content that earn press coverage
  • Develop website strategy optimizing digital presence for impact and conversion
  • Translate technical complexity into clear narratives for advertisers, agencies, publishers, and consumers
  • Build a multi-year brand architecture plan for B2B and consumer contexts
  • Define and own comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business objectives and product roadmap
  • Drive brand positioning as a trusted leader in TV viewership data, AI measurement, and cross-screen advertising
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for product launches, new markets, and strategic initiatives
  • Shape market narratives around TV evolution, streaming economics, AI in advertising, and privacy-safe data activation
  • Report to CEO and serve as key executive leadership team member influencing company strategy
  • Build and execute strategic roadmap balancing quick wins and long-term brand building
  • Own Samba’s AI marketing agenda and build AI-native workflows for content production, creative iteration, campaign optimization, personalization, and targeting
  • Identify and deploy best generative AI, automation, and agentic tools
  • Use AI to expand marketing output without proportional headcount increase
  • Develop AI-powered content and insights products as marketing assets
  • Share AI learnings openly across the organization
  • Stay ahead of AI trends and push continuous experimentation
  • Position Samba as thought leader on AI in advertising
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing organization aligned with company goals

  • Support revenue-impacting metrics in partnership with Sales including pipeline contribution, CAC, and marketing ROI
  • Optimize funnel from brand awareness through demand generation, lead nurturing, and sales enablement
  • Partner with Sales leadership to ensure marketing-sales alignment and lead quality
  • Drive account-based marketing strategies targeting enterprise accounts and agency holding companies
  • Implement data-driven decision frameworks using marketing automation and attribution modeling

Requirements

  • Proven track record in B2B enterprise marketing selling to advertisers, agencies, publishers, or technology platforms
  • Deep ad tech or martech industry experience including programmatic advertising, measurement, data platforms, identity solutions, or marketing technology ecosystems
  • Demonstrated revenue impact with quantifiable examples of driving customer acquisition, pipeline growth, revenue contribution, and marketing ROI
  • Team building expertise scaling marketing teams from 5-10 to 30+ people while maintaining high performance and culture
  • Comfortable presenting to boards, investors, customers, and at major industry conferences
  • Exceptional storytelling ability with a strong creative vision for brand, content, and campaign development
  • Portfolio of work including creative campaigns, content, videos, infographics, or materials overseen
  • Strong writing skills for executive messaging, thought leadership, and persuasive marketing copy
  • Experience directing or creating data visualizations, infographics, and presentation materials
  • Brand architecture expertise with track record of building or repositioning brands in competitive markets
  • Content strategy mastery understanding content engagement at each stage of the B2B buyer journey
  • Data-driven decision maker obsessed with metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and performance optimization
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot), BI tools (Tableau, Looker), and attribution modeling
  • Fluency in revenue metrics including CAC, LTV, MQL-to-SQL conversion rates, pipeline velocity, marketing attribution, and ROI by channel
  • Marketing operations excellence implementing efficient processes, tech stacks, and cross-functional workflows
  • Budget management with demonstrated ability to allocate millions in marketing spend efficiently
