Full job description

Moloco seeks a Staff Product Data Scientist to lead analytics and product strategy for creative systems in its AI-powered advertising platform. The role requires 8+ years of experience in data science or product analytics, with a strong background in partnering with product and engineering teams. Responsibilities include establishing frameworks to measure creative impact, building monitoring tools, and co-owning the creative roadmap. Candidates should have experience in ad tech or marketing science, creative analytics, and collaborating with ML teams. What you'll do

  • Act as a thought leader in the creative domain influencing high-stakes product decisions
  • Establish a trusted, repeatable framework for measuring creative impact to support faster and confident shipping of creative features
  • Build durable monitoring, diagnostics, and documentation to increase transparency of creative performance and adoption
  • Co-own the creative roadmap as an analytical and product thought partner for the Creatives team
  • Drive data narrative across ideation, launch, and iteration of creative features and strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics) or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of experience (or PhD + 6 years of experience) in data science, product analytics, or a closely related quantitative field, including significant time as a product-facing individual contributor
  • Proven track record of partnering with Product and Engineering to shape roadmaps, define success metrics, and drive decisions through data
  • Ability to operate with high ownership and autonomy, including scoping ambiguous problems and driving them to closure
  • Comfort working across time zones and with distributed teams, using strong asynchronous communication and documentation habits
  • Preferred: Graduate or PhD degree in a quantitative field with 10+ years of experience
  • Preferred: Prior experience in ad tech, marketing science, or related domains focused on creatives, auctions, or optimization systems
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with creative analytics such as format benchmarking, asset-level performance analysis, interaction or engagement modeling
  • Preferred: Experience collaborating closely with ML teams to design, evaluate, and iterate on model features and policies
  • Preferred: Excellent communication skills to synthesize complex analytical findings into simple, actionable narratives for technical and non-technical audiences
