Full job description

InMobi Advertising is seeking a senior Applied Scientist with 7-10 years experience in quantitative fields such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Data Science. The role involves leading data science projects for InMobi DSP, including model building, validation, deployment, and stakeholder management. Candidates should have expertise in machine learning, deep learning, big data processing, and cloud computing platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Proficiency in Python, Apache Spark, and R is required. Responsibilities include designing experiments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving business impact through AI solutions. Strong communication skills and curiosity for learning are essential. Location: Bangalore, India.

What you'll do

  • Lead one or more data science efforts for InMobi DSP including project ideation, solution design, measurement, iteration, coaching, deployment and post deployment management
  • Design, develop, and test product experiments
  • Hands-on data analysis, model design and development, and problem solving with the team
  • Stakeholder management and interface with Product, Engineering, Data, Infrastructure, and Business teams
  • Write blogs, commentary, case studies and represent InMobi at industry conferences
  • Identify problem areas where AI can be applied for business impact
  • Design models anchored in business context and end user needs
  • Collaborate in a multi-functional team environment
  • Experiment with multiple algorithms and tailor techniques to fit problems
  • Innovate and demonstrate thought leadership through products, research papers, and conferences

Requirements

  • Master’s in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research or Economics, Analytics, Data Science or Bachelor's from a reputed College with additional experience
  • 7-10 years of work experience in a quantitative field, with model building and validation experience
  • Ad tech related industry experience is a plus
  • Applied algorithms and techniques from Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Statistics or other domains in solving real world problems
  • Comfortable with software programming and statistical platforms such as R, Python including visualization tools
  • Comfortable with the big data ecosystem and Apache Spark
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud/Vertex AI is a bonus
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with challenges of the identity-less world, particularly for iOS and Android
  • Excellent technical and business communication skills
  • High degree of curiosity and ability to rapidly learn new areas
