Microsoft Advertising is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager for the Opportunity Analytics team within Global Business Planning. The role focuses on analyzing monetization performance and identifying growth opportunities across regions, products, and advertiser segments. Responsibilities include developing frameworks to identify growth opportunities, partnering with business and sales teams, analyzing large data sets, collaborating across teams, and providing strategic recommendations. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in engineering, program management, data analysis or product development, and 2+ years managing cross-functional projects. Preferred qualifications include 6+ years applying analytics to business problems, strong problem-solving skills, experience with SQL, PowerBI, Python, and MS Excel, and excellent communication skills. The position is full-time, on-site in New York, NY, with a salary range of $119,800 to $234,700 USD annually, higher in the SF Bay Area and NYC metro. Requirements
Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience
2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
6+ years of experience applying sophisticated analytics to solve complex business questions (preferred)
Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Experience with turning large scale data into actionable insights and decisions
Hands-on approach to data analysis / data mining with a solid focus on quality
Experience with MS Excel
Superior communications skills, both verbal and written and ability to engage with business partners and executives to influence and drive data based strategic decisions
Experience with SQL, PowerBI and Python
