The Trade Desk is hiring a senior backend engineer for the API Platform team within Ventura OS, a Smart TV operating system. The role involves designing, building, and operating scalable, reliable, and secure user-facing APIs and identity systems for authentication, authorization, and monetization. Responsibilities include owning the API layer, identity and access management, partner self-service authorization, shared platform infrastructure, user-facing portals, and monetization data pipelines. Candidates should have 6+ years of software engineering experience, strong programming skills in a statically typed backend language, expertise in API design and operation at scale, identity and access management, system reliability, observability, and mentoring. Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Kubernetes, AWS, OIDC, and device attestation is a plus.
