Full job description

Smartly.io is hiring a Sr. Director, Agency Partnerships – NORAM to lead a pod of Agency Development Partners and manage strategic agency relationships across North America. The role requires owning individual and team revenue targets, driving revenue growth, shaping deal strategy, and leading complex negotiations. Responsibilities include managing a portfolio of agency partners, influencing agency stakeholders, coaching a sales team, maintaining pipeline accuracy, and collaborating cross-functionally. Candidates must have proven enterprise or agency sales leadership experience, strong deal leadership skills, forecasting expertise, executive presence, and the ability to operate in ambiguity. Base salary ranges from $170,000 to $200,000 per year plus performance bonus.

What you'll do

  • Carry an individual revenue target while also owning the pod’s aggregate team target, leading by example through active deal ownership and direct agency and client engagement
  • Own revenue growth across a defined portfolio of North American agency partners, including pipeline creation, forecasting, and quarterly performance against targets
  • Drive net-new revenue, expansion, and multi-year commitments by identifying scalable opportunities across agency holding companies and priority clients
  • Shape deal strategy, guide negotiations, and close complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities involving agencies, brands, and internal teams
  • Partner closely with Brand Sales, Solutions, Product, and Customer Success to advance opportunities from early signal through contract execution
  • Serve as a senior commercial point of contact for priority agency partners, building trust while consistently advancing Smartly’s business objectives
  • Influence agency stakeholders across strategy, media, and activation teams to position Smartly as a core growth partner, not a point solution
  • Navigate agency operating models, incentives, and client dynamics to align Smartly’s platform with performance goals
  • Lead and coach a pod of Agency Development Partners, setting clear expectations around pipeline quality, deal execution, and revenue contribution
  • Personally own and advance priority opportunities while modeling strong sales fundamentals, including qualification, account planning, and close discipline
  • Inspect deals, provide hands-on coaching, and raise execution standards across the pod
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene, using data to drive prioritization and decision-making
  • Partner with Sales Ops and Enablement to improve repeatability, role clarity, and commercial consistency across the agency motion
  • Provide structured feedback to Product and Leadership based on frontline commercial learnings from agencies and clients

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading enterprise or agency-led sales motions with clear ownership of revenue outcomes
  • Demonstrated success operating as a player-coach, carrying a personal quota while leading others to deliver against shared targets
  • Strong deal leadership experience, including closing complex, multi-party opportunities
  • Experience forecasting, inspecting pipeline, and holding teams accountable to commercial goals
  • Executive presence with the ability to balance partnership credibility and commercial rigor
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and building structure where it does not yet exist
