Full job description

DoubleVerify is a big data analytics company operating at massive scale, processing billions of ad events daily. The Senior Platform Engineer role is part of the DevOps Platform team responsible for building and operating infrastructure platforms used by 100+ engineering teams. Responsibilities include designing and operating Kubernetes platforms on GCP, AWS, and data centers; maintaining shared services like Kafka, Aerospike, Airflow, and observability tools; creating automation and tooling for developer self-service; evolving CI/CD pipelines; partnering with product teams to integrate features reliably; defining infrastructure best practices; and leading infrastructure projects globally. Required qualifications include 5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles, 3+ years Kubernetes production experience, strong cloud expertise (GCP or AWS), software engineering skills in Python, Go, or Bash, observability-driven troubleshooting, and platform design mindset. Nice to have experience with Kafka, ArgoCD, Aerospike, Airflow, service mesh technologies, GitOps, infrastructure-as-code, open-source contributions, and SRE practices. The role is based in Paris, France.

What you'll do

  • Design, deploy, and operate Kubernetes platforms across GCP, AWS, and data center environments
  • Build and maintain critical shared services: streaming (Kafka), data storage (Aerospike), workflow orchestration (Airflow), and observability (Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Create tooling and automation for self-service workflows to empower developers while maintaining security and stability
  • Drive CI/CD evolution by building operators, controllers, and management tools
  • Partner with product teams to ensure new features integrate cleanly and reliably into infrastructure
  • Define and promote best practices for automation, observability, security, and maintainability
  • Plan and deliver high-impact infrastructure initiatives with DevOps, SRE, and engineering teams globally
  • Use metrics, logs, and traces to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks

Requirements

  • 5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles operating production infrastructure at scale
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
  • Strong cloud platform expertise in GCP or AWS (multi-cloud experience valued)
  • Software engineering mindset - write code (Python, Go, Bash) to solve infrastructure problems
  • Observability-driven troubleshooting using metrics, logs, and traces
  • Platform thinking - design for reliability, scalability, and developer experience
  • Nice to have: experience with Kafka, ArgoCD, Aerospike, Airflow
  • Nice to have: background with service mesh technologies (Envoy Gateway, Istio)
  • Nice to have: experience with GitOps workflows and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Crossplane)
  • Nice to have: contributions to open-source platform tooling or CNCF projects
  • Nice to have: Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and culture
