Full job description

Senior DevOps Engineer role in Ghent, Belgium with hybrid work (3 days in office). Responsibilities include designing and managing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab/GitHub Actions and Jenkins, managing Kubernetes clusters on GCP/AWS, using Helm and Terraform for infrastructure management, implementing observability with Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki, embedding security in CI/CD pipelines with HashiCorp Vault, scripting automation with Python or GoLang, and collaborating with full-stack teams. Requires 4+ years experience in DevOps/SRE/Cloud Engineering, expert knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, proficiency in GCP or AWS, experience with CI/CD tools, Terraform, monitoring stack, scripting skills, and DevSecOps familiarity. Bonus qualifications include GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux), cloud certifications, and advanced cloud-native services experience. Salary range €65,000-€110,000 EUR plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you'll do

  • Design and manage sophisticated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab/GitHub Actions and Jenkins, implementing GitOps practices
  • Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters on GCP/AWS using Helm and other cloud-native tools
  • Use Terraform to define, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure and services
  • Implement and maintain a full-stack observability platform with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki
  • Embed security practices into the CI/CD pipeline and manage secrets securely
  • Develop automation scripts and tools using Python or GoLang
  • Collaborate with full-stack development teams to optimize application architecture and troubleshoot performance issues

Requirements

  • 4+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering role
  • Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
  • Proficiency with either GCP or AWS services
  • Deep experience with CI/CD platforms like GitLab/GitHub Actions and Jenkins
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform
  • Proven experience with the Prometheus/Grafana/Loki stack for monitoring, logging, and alerting
  • Strong programming skills in Python or GoLang, as well as shell scripting
  • Familiarity with embedding security in the CI/CD pipeline and secret management with HashiCorp Vault
  • Solid understanding of full-stack development principles
