FreeWheel, a Comcast company, provides ad platforms for publishers, advertisers, and media buyers across linear TV, connected TV, and streaming platforms. The team is responsible for unifying data ingestion and pipeline strategies to ensure scalable, reliable data flows powering analytics and ad-tech systems. The Senior Software Engineer will design and optimize high-throughput data ingestion pipelines, improve pipeline performance and reliability, lead architectural decisions, and develop Python-based microservices for real-time and batch ingestion. The role requires technical leadership, mentoring, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Experience with Snowflake, distributed data systems, and cloud infrastructure is essential. Required qualifications include 7+ years building data pipelines or distributed backend systems using Python, proficiency in microservices, AWS, CI/CD, Terraform, Kubernetes, SQL, and strong system design skills. Preferred qualifications include Snowpark or DataBricks experience and familiarity with ad tech or data-intensive platforms. Salary ranges from $135,683.35 to $203,525.03 in Colorado and up to $212,776.16 in Virginia. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
