Full job description

Seeking a BI Analyst with 5-8 years experience, 4+ years in Power BI and SQL. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, translating business requirements into reports, writing and optimizing SQL queries, performing data validation, creating data models and DAX calculations, collaborating with stakeholders, troubleshooting data issues, and documenting processes. Required skills: Power BI, SQL, data modelling, DAX, ETL, GITHUB, data validation, problem-solving, communication. Nice to have: Python, Databricks, Power Query. Bachelor's degree in relevant field required; Power BI certifications preferred.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Gather and understand business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, and reporting
  • Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of reports
  • Create and maintain data models, relationships, measures, and DAX calculations in Power BI
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify reporting needs and provide analytical insights
  • Troubleshoot and resolve reporting and data-related issues
  • Document dashboard logic, data sources, and validation processes

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis
  • Experience in developing end-to-end dashboards and reporting solutions
  • Good understanding of data modelling concepts and DAX
  • Understanding ETL process & GITHUB
  • Experience in data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and convert them into meaningful visualizations
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
  • Relevant Power BI certifications are an added advantage
  • Nice to Have: Basic knowledge of Python
  • Nice to Have: Familiarity with Databricks
  • Nice to Have: Experience with Power Query (M Language)
