Full job description

Amazon Ads seeks a Senior Account Manager with 8+ years of client-facing experience in programmatic, display, or CTV advertising, preferably with 10+ years in advertising media buying/planning. The role requires partnering with advertising agencies to develop media strategies, manage agency relationships, co-own revenue targets, and educate agencies on Amazon's ad tech solutions. Responsibilities include coordinating internal teams, reporting on account health, mentoring team members, and defining scalable processes. Candidates must have strong analytical skills, experience in process improvement, and the ability to work with ambiguity. What you'll do

  • Become a knowledgeable partner on Amazon Advertising solutions and partner on agency strategy at senior leadership levels
  • Develop media strategies for growth based on overall agency goals/objectives
  • Coordinate across internal Amazon teams to streamline agency servicing and resolve agency-wide blockers
  • Educate agencies on Amazon’s ad tech offerings, performance metrics, insights, and how to achieve greater results
  • Create and identify new insights based on first-party and third-party research
  • Co-own agency revenue targets with advertising development managers and achieve these targets
  • Report on agency account health, revenue pipeline, and provide bridge plans to senior management
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with advertising development managers and other account team members
  • Manage complex customer initiatives and relationships with multiple agency contacts and identify new external relationships
  • Define team processes and best practices for agency engagement and hold partner teams accountable for improvements
  • Mentor team members and drive strategic initiatives

Requirements

  • Experience in a customer-facing role engaging with customer executives, technologists or partners to solve business problems with advanced technologies
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Experience working in the absence of preset work instructions and being instrumental in setting up documentation
  • 8+ years relevant experience in a client-facing role including but not limited to ad agency, digital marketing, analytics
  • Experience in programmatic, display, or CTV planning/buying
  • Demonstrated ability to manage agency issues impacting several groups with differing business objectives
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Marketing, Advertising, Statistics, Engineering, or Business (preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities (preferred)
  • Experience providing training and mentorship (preferred)
  • 10+ years work experience in Advertising with media buying/planning across digital advertising, eCommerce, and/or linear broadcast/streaming TV (preferred)
  • Programmatic strategy, emerging AI tool adoption, and implementation experience (preferred)
  • Proven track record of delivering results including revenue targets and contributing to advertiser revenue growth (preferred)
  • Experience defining team processes and best practices (preferred)
  • Experience working across diverse groups and communicating across diverse locales, roles, and functions (preferred)
  • Ability to make smart trade-offs and understand long-lasting impact on agency business (preferred)
