The Trade Desk seeks a Senior Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of brand-direct accounts. Responsibilities include strategic client consulting, campaign execution, conflict resolution, and portfolio growth through revenue retention and expansion. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years in online advertising, 3+ years client-facing experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in programmatic advertising technologies and MS Office tools.

What you'll do

  • Serve as a trusted strategic consultant to senior client stakeholders and their partner ecosystems
  • Translate complex market insights into winning, high-performing media strategies
  • Navigate ambiguous situations and manage complex external account dynamics
  • Resolve senior-level conflicts with maturity, poise, and strong negotiation skills
  • Execute tasks timely and flawlessly in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain a rigorous, hands-on understanding of platform capabilities
  • Apply operational best practices to ensure high-quality execution and campaign optimization
  • Maintain primary ownership of a high-growth roster of key accounts
  • Identify strategic cross-selling and upselling opportunities based on core business needs
  • Partner closely with Business Development to onboard major new customers and expand existing lines of business

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above
  • At least 5 years of online advertising experience
  • 3+ years of client-facing experience
  • Proven track record of growing accounts by forging strong client relationships
  • Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence decision-makers
  • Hands-on expertise in programmatic advertising or experience in brand/performance marketing in an agency or DTC company is a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Office
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations
