Full job description

The Trade Desk seeks a senior strategic advisor to lead and grow a portfolio of brand direct and media agency clients. The role requires providing technical and client service excellence, crafting innovative solutions, and driving client success through strategic account management. Responsibilities include collaborating with business development, participating in product roadmap discussions, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. Candidates must have 5-10 years of experience in digital and programmatic advertising, strong leadership and communication skills, proficiency in Mandarin and English, and a proven ability to manage complex client portfolios and drive business growth.

What you'll do

  • Lead development of brand direct and media agency portfolio as senior strategic advisor
  • Craft innovative technical solutions to meet client needs and business goals
  • Provide thought leadership on leveraging The Trade Desk’s platform and integrations
  • Collaborate with Business Development to cultivate accounts and solve client challenges
  • Grow book of business through strategic cross-selling and upselling
  • Drive long-term success, growth, and operational excellence of assigned accounts
  • Act as primary strategic owner of portfolio with commercial accountability
  • Develop trusting relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving environment balancing multiple priorities
  • Participate in product roadmap discussions with senior leadership and product teams
  • Communicate and collaborate with product, marketing, inventory, and partnership teams
  • Maintain strong cross-pod relationships to support account management and trading excellence

Requirements

  • Experienced client leader with solid technical background
  • Proficient in Mandarin and English
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and leadership skills
  • Extensive experience in digital and programmatic industry in client-focused roles
  • Experience establishing consultative client relationships
  • Ability to independently manage and grow complex client portfolios
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience at online publisher, agency, Mar Tech, SSP, DSP, or other online advertising roles
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Ability to handle ambiguous situations and resolve conflicts
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Comfortable engaging with senior client stakeholders and presenting strategic recommendations
