Full job description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Solutions Architect to accelerate customer adoption of AWS cloud services. The role involves working directly with customers to design and implement cloud solutions involving security, compute, storage, networking, serverless, analytics, and Generative AI. Responsibilities include developing technical sales strategies, educating customers, building relationships with technical stakeholders, conducting training, sharing best practices, authoring publications, liaising between customers and product teams, and advocating AWS's GenAI strategy through demos and PoCs. Candidates should have 4+ years in technology domains such as software development or cloud computing, 2+ years in design or consulting, and 5+ years in IT development or consulting. Preferred experience includes cloud architecture, technology sales or consulting, and Data & AI technologies. The position is full-time, based in San Francisco, CA, with a salary range of $151,000 to $204,300 annually, plus benefits including sign-on payments, RSUs, health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.

What you'll do

  • Formulate and execute a technical sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through AWS adoption
  • Educate customers on AWS value proposition and participate in deep architectural discussions
  • Build deep relationships with senior technical stakeholders to enable cloud advocacy
  • Conduct training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community
  • Author or contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers and product teams to help evolve the AWS platform
  • Advocate for AWS's GenAI strategy by building demos and PoCs

Requirements

  • 4+ years of specific technology domain experience (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture
  • Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting
  • Experience working with Data & AI related technologies including AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage
  • GenAI and Data Analytics practitioner, early adopter of new technologies
