Full job description

Moloco is hiring a Software Engineer II for the Ads Experience team in Seoul. The role involves building backend services and APIs for Moloco's web-based campaign management portal, improving advertiser workflows such as campaign creation, configuration, monitoring, and reporting. Candidates should have 4+ years of backend or full-stack development experience, proficiency in languages like Java, Go, Kotlin, C++, or Python, and experience with relational or NoSQL databases. Responsibilities include owning features end-to-end, collaborating with cross-functional teams, contributing to analytics features, and improving service reliability. Preferred experience includes building advertiser-facing tools, knowledge of digital advertising concepts, and familiarity with cloud and big data technologies. The position is full-time and on-site in Seoul.

What you'll do

  • Design, implement, and operate backend services and APIs supporting advertiser workflows
  • Own well-scoped features or components end-to-end including requirements review, design, implementation, testing, launch, and post-launch improvements
  • Collaborate closely with Product, UX, Data, and ML partners to create simple, reliable product experiences
  • Contribute to analytics and reporting capabilities by integrating with data pipelines and building features like overview pages, charts, filters, and alerting
  • Improve reliability, performance, and observability of owned services, participate in incident response and root-cause analysis
  • Participate in design and code reviews and learn from senior engineers

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years of software engineering experience in backend or full-stack development
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Go, Kotlin, C++, or Python
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
  • Hands-on experience building or maintaining web services / APIs
  • Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., BigQuery, Bigtable, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience owning features or components end-to-end under guidance from more senior engineers
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment with Product, UX, Data, and ML partners
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English
