Full job description

This senior full-time software engineering role based in Reston, Virginia involves designing, developing, and integrating software solutions aligned with business needs. The candidate will analyze system requirements, customize applications, assist with software updates and releases, mentor junior engineers, collaborate with QA, troubleshoot complex issues, and conduct training for users. Required skills include 5+ years in software or platform engineering, proficiency in Go or Python, Kubernetes, public cloud platforms (AWS, OCI), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Argo CD), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, GitOps), and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred experience includes operating production Kubernetes environments, managed Kubernetes services (EKS, OKE), observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry), and building internal developer platforms. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred. The role requires flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.
