Samba is hiring a mid-level Software Engineer (L2) based in Porto, Portugal. The role involves developing and maintaining scalable backend and middleware services for global data traffic. Responsibilities include contributing to software architecture, writing efficient code for large-scale data, implementing low-latency solutions, monitoring production systems, participating in code reviews, and supporting global B2B integrations. Candidates should have a degree in Software Engineering or related field, 2+ years of relevant experience, strong OOP skills, familiarity with .NET/C# or similar languages, understanding of microservices, proficiency with Git and terminal scripting (PowerShell/Bash), and a test-driven, security-conscious mindset. The position requires strong English communication skills and an agile approach to work. Salary range is 32000 to 43000 Euro per year, with additional benefits including bonuses, health insurance, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
