Full job description

Merkle is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer with 4+ years of experience to support and innovate bespoke platforms for application and middleware integration. The role involves building platforms, tooling, and systems for efficient testing and operation, hands-on support and debugging, and ensuring solutions meet business needs. Required skills include Python, Nodejs, JavaScript, application frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask), JavaScript UI libraries (React, Angular, Vue.js), SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB), cloud deployment (AWS preferred), Docker, Agile/Scrum, CICD, and version control (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket). A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT is required. The candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage client expectations and coordinate with global teams. Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in software development
Experience with Python, Nodejs, and JavaScript
Professional experience with application frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask
Professional experience with JavaScript libraries like React, Angular, or Vue.js
Experience with SQL-based RDBMS and NoSQL databases like MongoDB
Experience deploying services on Cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and Docker
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment
Knowledge of iterative releases, test-driven development, CICD, and version control systems (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field
Strong work ethic and collaborative mindset
Willingness to collaborate with global stakeholders
Problem solving and solutioning mindset
Ability to manage client expectations and coordinate offshore/on-site teams
Self-driven and able to learn new skills as needed
