Software Development Engineer III - Devops

What you'll do

• Influence, guide, and reinforce the adoption of standards and processes across the development teams
• Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations
• Implement solutions for automation of application build, test, deployment, configuration management, and orchestration
• Implement DevOps pipeline tools in support of vertical team’s needs
• Present a broad knowledge across various products across the DevOps spectrum
• Document DevOps processes, procedures, and environments
• Support Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) and DevOps transformation initiatives under the guidance of the configuration manager/architect
• Contribute in developing best practices for infrastructure as code (e.g.: Terraform, Shell scripting), software build tools (Maven, Gradle, etc.) and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Github Actions, etc.)
• Work with development and Infrastructure Teams in developing building/packaging/deployment processes for new projects
• Build out a continuous integration process married with a solid release strategy while upskilling other teams and advising on best practice and strategy to management

Requirements

• 6-11 years of experience
• B.Tech/MCA educational qualification
• Strong coding skills in at least one programming language
• Ability to build custom tools and scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency
• Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD process for enterprise SaaS and on-prem applications using tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, etc
• Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to train and develop team members
• Experience with agile development, design & architect
• Hands-on knowledge on helm and Kubernetes eco-system
• Ability to deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems and think abstractly
