Full job description
Microsoft Advertising seeks a Service Engineer II to build automation and full-stack tools, improve reliability and customer experience on the Microsoft Advertising platform. Responsibilities include investigating complex technical issues, designing AI-driven automation, writing production-quality code, driving root-cause analysis, maintaining automated tests, communicating during live-site events, analyzing escalation data, documenting knowledge base articles, and mentoring others. Required qualifications include a relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 2+ years in software or service engineering. Preferred qualifications include 3+ years experience, strong coding skills in C#, Java, Python, or TypeScript/JavaScript, experience with APIs, debugging, AI-based coding tools, advertising domain knowledge, and cloud/distributed systems experience. The role is full-time, on-site in Redmond, WA, with a salary range of $102,100 to $202,200 USD annually.
