Full job description

Senior UI/UX Designer role at Merkle in Lebanon or Egypt reporting to Head of Experience & Platforms. Responsibilities include developing design strategy aligned with brand and business goals, collaborating with cross-functional teams, advocating user-centered design, conducting user research, creating user flows, wireframes, and prototypes, collaborating with developers for implementation, guiding UI design development, maintaining design systems and guidelines, managing projects, and continuous improvement. Requirements: BSc in Design or related field (master's a plus), 5+ years UI/UX experience with portfolio, knowledge of user-centered design and research, strong communication and organizational skills, experience with design systems, familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a plus, experience in MENA market, senior client relationship management, business development, and commercial mindset. Proficiency in Figma, Adobe design suite, and UX research tools required.

What you'll do

  • Develop and communicate design strategy aligned with company brand, target audience, and business objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design solutions with product vision
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles based on user research, personas, and usability testing
  • Conduct user research and gather feedback to inform design iterations
  • Lead creation of user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate user journey and interactions
  • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure seamless UX design implementation
  • Guide development of visually engaging and cohesive UI designs reflecting brand identity
  • Define and maintain design systems, pattern libraries, and guidelines for consistency
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and manage expectations
  • Stay current with industry trends, new design tools, and emerging technologies
  • Manage design projects including timelines, resource allocation, and progress tracking
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices
  • Prepare departmental reports and meet department policies and standards
  • Perform other related duties or assignments as directed

Requirements

  • BSc in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field; master's degree is a plus
  • 5+ years proven experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio
  • Understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and user research methodologies
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience creating design systems, pattern libraries, and UI guidelines
  • Familiarity with front-end development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Connected and experienced within the MENA market
  • Experience with senior client relationship management, go-to-market, and business development strategy
  • Proven track record of delivering on sales and growth targets
  • Strong commercial mindset and experience managing large portfolio of senior clients
  • Strong strategic thinking and understanding of business models and agency processes
  • Driven, proactive, takes ownership and responsibility for work
