Microsoft Advertising Platform team seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop scalable, reliable, and secure distributed cloud services. Responsibilities include leading technical design, collaborating with cross-functional teams, delivering critical projects, using telemetry and experimentation to improve products, mentoring engineers, and influencing architecture. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years experience coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, and passing Microsoft Cloud background checks. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or 6+ years experience, strong fundamentals in computer science, experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), distributed systems, and leadership in technical initiatives. Experience in online advertising, AI/ML, and large-scale platform modernization is preferred. The role is full-time, on-site in Redmond, WA. Salary ranges from $119,800 to $234,700 annually, with higher ranges for San Francisco and New York areas.
