Microsoft is hiring a senior software engineer for the Bing Search Ads and Copilot Search Ads platform team. The role involves designing and building high-scale, low-latency, high-availability ad systems used globally. Responsibilities include collaborating with product, applied science, and platform teams to launch new ad formats, improving system architecture, reliability, cost efficiency, and observability. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of engineering experience coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree with 6+ years experience or Bachelor's with 8+ years experience, plus 1+ year of DRI/Oncall experience and experience building high QPS low latency distributed systems. The position is full-time, on-site in Redmond, Washington, with a salary range of approximately $119,800 to $234,700 per year in the U.S., higher in certain metro areas.
