Full job description
Senior Software Engineer role in Microsoft Advertising's Third Party Ad Solutions & Data Management Platform. Develop customer-facing web applications, APIs, services, and data capabilities. Own full stack features, collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers. Responsibilities include AI-native development, code review, debugging, designing test strategies, architecture ownership, engineering excellence, project planning, deployment, monitoring, incident response, and understanding user requirements. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications include Master's degree or 8+ years experience, experience with Microsoft Azure or comparable cloud platforms, full-stack development with React, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, AI-assisted development tools, and demonstrated technical leadership. Role requires on-site work in Mountain View, CA. Salary range USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year, higher in SF Bay Area and NYC.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements including Microsoft Cloud Background Check
Preferred: Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience OR equivalent experience
Experience designing, building, and operating applications and services on Microsoft Azure or comparable cloud platforms
Experience building and owning large-scale production applications with end-to-end technical ownership
Demonstrated technical leadership including leading engineering initiatives and influencing teams without formal authority
Solid full-stack development experience with React, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
Experience designing and building micro-frontend architectures and backend APIs/services
Solid AI-powered engineering mindset and skills with hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools
