Full job description

The Trade Desk is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Infrastructure to create and maintain scalable service-oriented solutions supporting a globally distributed system handling over 15 million requests per second. Responsibilities include developing automation, tools, and processes to help product teams ship efficiently, innovating infrastructure through self-service tooling, participating in root-cause analysis and postmortems, and reducing manual toil by addressing process gaps. The role involves applying Site Reliability Engineering principles and participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation. Candidates must have experience writing clean, maintainable code in TypeScript, Go/Golang, or C#, and domain knowledge in Kubernetes, Docker, ArgoCD, Backstage, Kafka, Consul, AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, Linux internals, and GitOps tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Strong systems design understanding, operational efficiency, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities are required. Locations include Bellevue, WA; San Francisco, CA; and Seattle, WA. The base salary range is $124,900 to $228,900 USD.
