The Trade Desk is hiring a senior software engineer for the Ventura OS Infrastructure team in Bellevue, Washington. The role involves designing, building, operating, monitoring, and setting standards for cloud services powering Ventura TV OS. Responsibilities include managing compute, networking, database, storage, and identity services using infrastructure-as-code and automation, forecasting capacity needs, partnering with application teams, owning security and compliance models, optimizing system performance and cost, delivering build infrastructure and developer tooling, leading GPU infrastructure and ML-serving platforms, owning telemetry infrastructure, driving infrastructure migrations, and ensuring operational excellence including observability, SLOs, on-call, incident response, and disaster recovery. Candidates should have 6+ years of software engineering experience with cloud platforms or distributed systems, strong engineering fundamentals, experience with modern backend languages (Node.js/TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, Go, or C#), hands-on experience with cloud services at scale, infrastructure-as-code, observability tools, relational and NoSQL databases, platform ownership, mentoring, and strong communication skills. Nice to have qualifications include deep cloud and Kubernetes knowledge, identity/security systems experience, GPU infrastructure or ML-serving familiarity, and background in Smart TV or CTV services. Salary range is $137,300 to $251,800 USD.
