Full job description

Microsoft Ads is seeking a senior software engineer to develop front-end web UI for its advertising campaign management platform. The role involves working closely with PMs, UX designers, and partner teams to design, develop, and release features. Responsibilities include building metrics to monitor feature impact, driving AI-powered product innovation, and fostering a growth mindset engineering culture. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of coding experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, and the ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or 6+ years experience, strong CS fundamentals, experience with ReactJS, data analysis skills, and leveraging AI tools to improve development productivity and product quality. The position is full-time, on-site in Redmond, WA, with salary ranges from $119,800 to $234,700 annually depending on location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements including Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Solid CS fundamentals and inclination for architecting at scale
  • Excellent technical design, problem solving and debugging skills
  • Proficient in data driven decision making and ability to build metrics to analyze business impact
  • Outstanding coding experience with C#, JavaScript, HTML and/or CSS
  • Experience with ReactJS and modern front end development environment highly desirable
  • Experience with data analysis and building metrics to measure business impact
  • Experience leveraging AI-powered development tools and modern engineering practices to improve productivity and software quality
  • Passion for applying AI-driven insights to build innovative customer experiences
  • Great team member and communicator
