Full job description

Moloco seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead design and delivery of advertiser workflows and backend services for its web-based campaign management portal. The role involves technical leadership on medium to large projects, system design, API and backend service development, collaboration with Product, UX, Data, and ML teams, and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates should have 8+ years of software engineering experience, proficiency in languages such as Java, Go, Kotlin, C++, or Python, experience with distributed systems and databases, and strong system design and leadership skills. Experience with advertising systems, cloud and big data technologies, and global environments is preferred. The position is full-time, on-site in Seoul, Korea.

What you'll do

  • Lead design and implementation of complex advertiser workflows and services in Moloco Cloud Portal
  • Act as technical lead for medium to large scale projects, breaking down problems and aligning teams
  • Architect and evolve backend services and APIs for campaign setup, monitoring, reporting, alerting, and diagnostics
  • Partner with Product, UX, Data, and ML teams to define operational and reporting experience strategy
  • Collaborate with data and infrastructure teams to design reliable analytics and reporting pipelines
  • Drive best practices in code quality, testing, observability, reliability, and incident response
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in system design and execution
  • Influence long-term technical direction and identify platform opportunities

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience including backend or platform work on user-facing products
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, Go, Kotlin, C++, or Python
  • Experience building large-scale distributed systems or high-throughput services
  • Strong system design skills with experience leading complex feature or service design and implementation
  • Experience designing and operating web services/APIs and working with relational or NoSQL databases
  • Proven experience as a project technical lead, breaking down ambiguous problems and aligning stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively with Product, UX, Data, and ML partners
  • Fluent in English for global cross-functional collaboration
