Full job description

Zeta Marketing Platform (ZMP) is a machine learning/AI powered customer acquisition and CRM multi-tenant platform. The senior backend developer will work on server-side APIs and services supporting a highly distributed event pipeline handling tens of thousands of messages per second. Responsibilities include understanding business requirements, designing and implementing core components for the marketing automation platform, ensuring product quality via code reviews and unit tests, fixing bugs, implementing enhancements, and owning significant product components. Requirements include 4-8 years of experience with Java, Ruby, Python or equivalent, strong knowledge of distributed systems and cloud architecture, experience with Kafka, Elastic Search, Airflow, NoSQL databases (Aerospike, Thrift), SQL, AWS, and container-based solutions. A BS or MS in Computer Science or related field is required. Strong communication, problem-solving, and object-oriented programming skills are essential. Experience in advertising attribution is a plus. Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

What you'll do

  • Independently and cooperatively understand business requirements, design, and implement core components for real-world marketing automation platform
  • Design and implement application code to satisfy product requirements
  • Ensure high product quality through rigorous code reviews and unit tests
  • Fix bugs and implement enhancements
  • Take ownership of a significant product component in design and implementation

Requirements

  • Superior academic credentials and solid foundation in computer sciences and distributed systems design and development
  • At least 4 years of experience developing scalable, robust software platforms using Java/Ruby/Python or equivalent language
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field from a university where the primary language of instruction is English is strongly desired
  • Strong communication skills in a large-distributed development team environment
  • Experience in Advertising Attribution domain is a plus
  • 4 - 8 years of working experience with J2EE technology, Python or equivalent OO paradigm
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Kafka, Elastic Search, Airflow, NoSQL databases such as Aerospike, Thrift, Cl, and AWS
  • Experience with SQL languages
  • Experience working with container-based solutions is a plus
  • Experience working in a fast-paced technology environment
  • Strong object-oriented programming and design skills
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability and desire to learn new skills and take on new tasks
