Full job description
Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Auction Logic team focused on building, testing, deploying, and monitoring the Monetize real-time advertising platform. The role involves leading engineering efforts, owning significant platform areas, collaborating with engineers, and setting technical roadmaps. Responsibilities include designing scalable solutions, participating in planning, prototyping features, innovating build processes, code reviews, debugging production issues, and mentoring engineers. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 4+ years coding experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, and pass Microsoft security screenings. Preferred qualifications include 5+ years professional software development experience, expertise in C, C++, or Java, experience with high-performance multi-threaded distributed systems on Linux, advanced optimization skills, and strong computer science fundamentals. The position is full-time, on-site in Redmond, WA; Mountain View, CA; or New York, NY. Salary ranges from $119,800 to $234,700 annually, with higher ranges for Bay Area and NYC locations.
