Full job description
Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Auction Logic team to build, test, deploy, and monitor the Monetize real-time advertising platform. The role involves leading engineering efforts, owning significant platform areas, collaborating with engineers and product teams, designing scalable solutions, producing prototypes, improving build processes, conducting code reviews, debugging production issues, and mentoring engineers. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 4+ years coding experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, and meet Microsoft security screening requirements. Preferred qualifications include 5+ years professional software development experience, expertise in building high performance, multi-threaded distributed systems on Linux, advanced optimization skills, and strong computer science fundamentals. The position is full-time, on-site at Redmond, WA; Mountain View, CA; or New York, NY. Salary ranges from $119,800 to $234,700 annually, with higher ranges in San Francisco Bay Area and New York City.
