Microsoft Advertising Platform team seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and build scalable, reliable, and secure distributed cloud services. Responsibilities include leading technical design and architecture, collaborating with cross-functional teams, driving project delivery, using telemetry and experimentation to improve products, mentoring engineers, and influencing platform-wide architecture. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, and ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check. Preferred qualifications include Master's degree or 6+ years experience, 4+ years building scalable backend services, strong problem-solving and debugging skills, knowledge of distributed systems and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), experience with AI/ML-enabled products, and familiarity with online advertising or large-scale consumer products. Position is full-time, on-site in Redmond, WA. Salary range USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year, higher in SF Bay Area and NYC.
