Microsoft Advertising Platform team seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop scalable, reliable, and secure distributed cloud services. Responsibilities include leading technical design, partnering with cross-functional teams, delivering critical projects, using telemetry and experimentation to improve products, mentoring engineers, and influencing architectural decisions. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, and ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or 6+ years experience, 4+ years building scalable backend services, strong technical design and problem-solving skills, knowledge of distributed systems and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), experience with AI/ML products, and experience in online advertising or related fields. The role is full-time, on-site in Redmond, WA. Salary range in the U.S. is $119,800 to $234,700 annually, higher in SF Bay Area and NYC.
