Full job description
Microsoft is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for AdTech Clean Room platform engineering. The role involves designing, building, securing, and operating infrastructure for Microsoft's clean room capabilities including privacy-safe audience activation, identity resolution, measurement, and partner data collaboration. Responsibilities include developing scalable platform patterns, building reusable infrastructure components, implementing ISO-certified secure environments, managing access controls and compliance, enabling secure identity and data services, developing observability and automation, and defining platform architecture and standards. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 4+ years coding experience in Python, SQL, PowerShell, Terraform, or Bicep, and 5+ years in infrastructure, cloud, platform, DevOps, SRE, or data platform engineering with Azure. Experience with secure environments for regulated data, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, privacy-safe data collaboration, and large-scale analytics platforms is preferred. Salary ranges from $119,800 to $234,700 annually, with higher ranges in San Francisco Bay area and New York City. Locations include Redmond WA, New York NY, Atlanta GA, and Mountain View CA.

Lead root cause investigations and drive preventative improvements for critical platform services
Define infrastructure standards, architecture patterns, and engineering practices for clean room technologies
Partner with Engineering, Marketing, Privacy, Security, Data Engineering, and external partners to develop scalable long-term clean room solutions
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field OR equivalent experience
4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in Python, SQL, PowerShell, Terraform, or Bicep
5+ years in infrastructure, cloud, platform, DevOps, SRE, or data platform engineering including Azure and enterprise-scale systems
Experience building secure environments for sensitive or regulated data including identity and access management, security architecture, governance, auditing, and ISO, SOC, privacy, or regulatory controls
Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated provisioning, observability, and platform operations
Experience designing privacy-safe data collaboration solutions using clean rooms, privacy-enhancing technologies, confidential computing, identity resolution, consent management, audience matching, or measurement
Experience with large-scale analytics platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Spark, Azure Data Factory, Event Hubs, or Synapse
Experience with AdTech or MarTech capabilities such as audience activation, identity graphs, CDPs, and measurement platforms
