Full job description

Senior Principal Product Manager role to lead vision, strategy, and roadmap for Microsoft Advertising’s Smart Bidding products. Requires deep AI/ML expertise, strong technical background in APIs, infrastructure, and AI modeling, and experience defining product vision with measurable business impact. Responsibilities include partnering with cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, defining OKRs/KPIs, and planning go-to-market strategies. Requires Bachelor's degree and 10+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development, with preference for 12+ years and 4+ years in digital advertising products. Position is full-time, on-site in Mountain View, CA or Redmond, WA. Salary range USD $165,600 - $296,400 per year, higher in select metro areas.

What you'll do

  • Own the vision, strategy and roadmap for Microsoft Advertising’s Smart Bidding products
  • Partner closely with Data Science, Engineering, UX, Product Marketing, Legal, and Finance to design solutions
  • Integrate AI-first thinking into product strategy
  • Define product vision that drives significant business impact
  • Manage stakeholders and influence senior leadership
  • Define and track OKRs/KPIs
  • Plan go-to-market and product launches

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
  • Preferred: 4+ years experience developing digital advertising products
  • Deep AI/ML expertise with ability to integrate AI-first thinking into strategy
  • Strong technical background (APIs, infrastructure, AI modeling)
  • Track record of defining product vision that drives significant business impact
  • Expert stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leadership
  • Strong analytical skills with OKR/KPI definition and tracking experience
  • Go-to-market planning and product launch experience
