The Trade Desk seeks a Senior Manager, Business Intelligence to lead a team of BI Analysts supporting business teams with data-driven decision making. Responsibilities include leading advanced analytics initiatives, synthesizing data from multiple sources, delivering insights to senior leadership, identifying growth opportunities and risks, developing BI solutions, guiding data architecture, and mentoring cross-functional teams. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (master's preferred), 15+ years analytics experience, 8-10 years managing BI teams, expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, SQL, R, or Python, experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Looker), predictive and advanced analytics skills, and strong communication and leadership abilities. What you'll do
- Lead BI teams on design and execution of advanced analytics initiatives
- Mine and synthesize data from multiple complex sources to support strategic decision-making
- Oversee insights and deliver clear, data-driven analysis on key business metrics
- Build strong partnerships with cross-regional stakeholders to translate trends into actionable guidance for senior leadership
- Proactively identify growth opportunities, operational risks, and emerging product trends
- Develop and implement business intelligence solutions to enhance operational efficiency and improve visibility
- Guide teams in building scalable, well-structured data assets
- Partner with business leaders to gather inputs, communicate risks and assumptions, and ensure analytical rigor
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams
- Drive alignment on key metrics and support integrated planning
- Guide the organization toward data-driven decision making
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience
- Masters degree preferred
- 15+ years of analytics experience supporting Go To Market, Product, Engineering, Corporate or Business Analytics teams
- 8-10 years leading and managing BI teams
- 8+ years experience in one or more programming languages such as SAS/SQL/R/Python
- Expert level Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to create compelling PowerPoint presentations
- Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Looker, etc.)
- Experience integrating data across disparate sources and platforms
- Demonstrated expertise in predictive and advanced analytics, including hands-on experience developing statistical models and applying data science techniques
- Experience with Analytics engineering tools like dbt preferred
- Experience with Data Warehouse and ETL frameworks (Snowflake, Boomi, SSIS, Informatica, etc.) a plus
