The Trade Desk seeks a Senior Finance Manager, Sales Finance & Strategy to partner with North American Sales leadership. The role involves financial analysis, forecasting, building executive presentations, resource planning, sales pipeline evaluation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Requires 10+ years in corporate finance or related fields, expert financial modeling, strong communication, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; SQL, Python, and Tableau skills are a plus. What you'll do
- Serve as strategic finance business partner to North American GTM teams to drive revenue growth through financial analysis and insights
- Build and maintain forecasting models and scenario analyses to identify revenue risks and opportunities
- Lead development of executive-level presentations communicating performance drivers and recommendations
- Partner with sales leadership on resource allocation, headcount planning, and investment decisions
- Develop frameworks to evaluate sales pipeline health, performance against targets, and key KPIs
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Systems Engineering, and Data teams to enhance reporting infrastructure and data integrity
- Support contract negotiations and strategic deals with sophisticated financial models
- Drive ad hoc strategic projects to support sales organization needs and identify growth opportunities
- Promote culture of financial rigor and accountability within sales team through actionable insights
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience in corporate finance, FP&A, investment banking, strategy consulting, or related analytical and strategic discipline
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
- Proven track record as trusted advisor to senior commercial leaders
- Expert-level financial modeling skills
- Exceptional communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior executives
- Highly collaborative with strong relationship-building skills
- Proactive, resourceful self-starter able to navigate ambiguity
- Deep business acumen and curiosity about programmatic advertising ecosystem
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficiency with large datasets and business intelligence tools (SQL, Python, Tableau) a plus
- High integrity, low ego, positive attitude
