Full job description

Smadex is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to work closely with ML and Product teams. The role involves analyzing large data sets of mobile user behavior to influence product and machine learning strategies, collaborating cross-functionally, and developing dashboards to support data-driven decision making. Requirements include 3+ years experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist, a degree in a quantitative field, proficiency in Python and SQL, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and knowledge of statistical concepts. US work authorization is required. The position is full-time and based in Austin, Texas.

What you'll do

  • Analyze large, complex data sets containing the behaviour of millions of mobile users and Apps worldwide to influence Product & ML strategies
  • Work cross-functionally with business and technical teams to support product performance
  • Develop dashboards and processes to ensure data influences decisions at all levels of the company

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst / Data Scientist
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a Quantitative Field (Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to formulate questions, run analysis to articulate a recommendation
  • Proven working knowledge of Python, SQL and large data sets, understanding of analytic methodologies for data evaluation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present analysis and conclusions
  • Strong knowledge and experience of statistical concepts and hypothesis testing
  • Knowledge of the ad-tech industry is a plus
  • Must have work authorization to work in the US (no visa sponsorship)
