Amazon Publisher Monetization Device Ads team develops demand products enabling advertisers to buy media across publisher and device networks. The Principal Tech Business Developer role involves shaping device advertising by identifying new opportunities and scaling advertiser growth. Responsibilities include developing and executing business plans for demand generation, collaborating cross-functionally with sales, product, finance, and engineering, driving business growth strategies, defining business goals, tracking adoption, optimizing sales execution, and preparing business reviews for senior leadership. Requires 5+ years experience in business agreements, go-to-market, business development, sales or consulting, leadership influence, negotiation, stakeholder management, and data interpretation. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree or PMP, knowledge of ad tech stacks and AdTech industry, and experience leading complex initiatives. What you'll do
- Develop and execute business plans focused on demand generation and adoption strategies
- Work closely with stakeholders across sales, product, finance, and engineering teams
- Identify and implement innovative strategies to drive business growth, efficiency, and scale within the device display advertising business
- Define business goals based on market segmentation and customer insights
- Establish mechanisms to track adoption and optimize sales execution
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to address customer needs, refine product offerings, and achieve revenue targets
- Prepare and present regular business reviews communicating roadmap updates, strategic inputs, performance metrics, and financial results to senior leadership
- Analyze business metrics to understand customer acquisition trends
- Prepare materials for leadership reviews showcasing roadmap updates and financial performance
- Refine go-to-market strategies based on real-world feedback from sales teams and customers
- Build relationships with senior stakeholders and collaborate on innovative strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience developing, leading, negotiating and executing corporate and/or business transactions
- Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
- Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Preferred: Master's degree in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources, or related field, or PMP certificate
- Preferred: Knowledge of publisher ad tech stacks and/or advertising technology
- Preferred: Knowledge of the AdTech industry (e.g., Ad Servers, SSPs, DSPs)
- Preferred: Experience leading complex, multi-year initiatives that may be cross-functional and/or span business and technology
