Full job description
FreeWheel, a Comcast company, seeks a Senior Backend Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain software and web applications supporting DSP digital real-time bidding campaigns. Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements, designing software, supporting and customizing applications, developing update processes, training junior engineers, documenting technical materials, monitoring industry developments, providing technical leadership, tracking performance metrics, working with QA, liaising with vendors/customers, and presenting technical decisions. Candidates must have 4+ years experience with Python and Django, RESTful API development, PHP, Kubernetes/EKS, AWS, and production deployment experience. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required. The position is full-time, located in Chicago, Illinois. Salary range is $129,515.93 to $194,273.89. Requirements
4+ years of experience working with Python and Django
Experience creating/developing RESTful APIs using Django
Experience with PHP
Experience with Kubernetes/EKS, AWS, owning production deployments at scale for critical backend services
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience
