Full job description
FreeWheel, a Comcast company, is seeking a Senior Backend Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain high availability advertising platform software. The role requires 4+ years of Python and Django experience, RESTful API development, PHP knowledge, and experience with Kubernetes/EKS and AWS for production deployments. Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders, designing software, training junior engineers, documenting technical requirements, providing technical leadership, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring software quality. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience is required. The position is full-time based in New York, NY. Salary range is $148,028.68 to $222,043.02 depending on experience. Benefits include bonuses, commissions (for sales roles), and comprehensive employee support programs.

Requirements
4+ years of experience working with Python and Django
Experience creating/developing RESTful APIs using Django
Experience with PHP
Experience with Kubernetes/EKS, AWS, owning production deployments at scale for critical backend services
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience
