Full job description

Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and owning distributed systems CRM platform. Collaborate with engineers and product managers to build a multichannel marketing solution. Requires deep knowledge of distributed systems and cloud architecture, with extensive design and development experience. Responsibilities include designing and developing mobile communication services (SMS/MMS/RCS), understanding business requirements, implementing core components, ensuring product quality, fixing bugs, and owning product components. Requirements include 5-8 years experience with Python, Ruby, J2EE, strong knowledge of Kafka, Elastic Search, NoSQL (Aerospike), Thrift, CI, AWS, and experience with container solutions and AI tools. Strong communication, problem-solving, and design skills required. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop the next generation of mobile communication services like SMS/MMS/RCS
  • Independently and cooperatively understand business requirements, design, and implement core components for a marketing automation platform
  • Design and implement application code to satisfy product requirements
  • Ensure high product quality through rigorous code reviews and unit tests
  • Fix bugs and implement enhancements
  • Take ownership of a significant product component in design and implementation

Requirements

  • Superior academic credentials and solid foundation in computer science and distributed systems design and development
  • At least 6 years of experience developing scalable, robust software platforms using Java/Ruby/Python or equivalent language
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from a university where the primary language of instruction is English is strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills in a large, distributed development team environment
  • 5 - 8 years of working experience with Python, Ruby and/or J2EE technology or equivalent OO paradigm
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Kafka, Elastic Search, NoSQL databases such as Aerospike, Thrift, CI, and AWS
  • Experience working with container-based solutions is a plus
  • Demonstrated working experience with, and quick adoption of, AI tools and AI-based development practices
  • Experience working in a fast-paced technology environment
  • Strong object-oriented programming and design skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability and desire to learn new skills and take on new tasks
