Microsoft Advertising is seeking a Senior Account Manager to manage a portfolio of advertisers, driving revenue and client satisfaction by linking customer needs to Microsoft Advertising solutions. The role requires 4 days a week in-office presence in Barcelona. Responsibilities include monitoring account health, developing long-term client strategies, leveraging CRM tools for sales performance, creating business plans, and acting as a thought leader on industry trends. Candidates must have relevant experience in sales, advertising, or marketing focused on digital advertising, fluent English and French, paid search experience, strong communication skills, and proven ability to meet revenue targets.

What you'll do

  • Ensure account health by proactively monitoring activities and creating long-term strategies to improve client experience
  • Establish business value of Microsoft’s advertising solutions by understanding clients' marketing needs and delivering advertising solutions
  • Leverage relationships with key client contacts to acquire, retain, and grow business
  • Identify drivers of satisfaction and dissatisfaction, anticipate issues, and establish recovery action plans
  • Adopt Microsoft sales strategies and leverage Unified Client Management (CRM) tools to increase performance and upsell opportunities
  • Develop value-proposition presentations and specialized business plans for clients
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of clients’ marketing needs and competition to anticipate needs and deliver insights
  • Own and elevate relationships throughout multiple levels at the customer’s organization
  • Act as a thought leader on industry trends, technology, and KPIs
  • Leverage competitive knowledge to elevate client success and create revenue-increasing solutions
  • Create a collaborative, trust-based work environment respecting communication styles and perspectives
  • Demonstrate Microsoft’s culture of inclusiveness and diversity

Requirements

  • Relevant work experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on digital advertising or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field OR MBA in Sales, Marketing, or related field with relevant work experience
  • Native/Fluent English and French
  • Paid search experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed revenue goals or targets
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs and deliver customized, customer-focused pitches and solutions
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Solid knowledge of the online advertising industry, trends, and customers’ needs
