Full job description

Microsoft Advertising is seeking a Senior Account Manager to manage a portfolio of advertisers, driving revenue and client satisfaction by linking customer needs to Microsoft Advertising solutions. Responsibilities include monitoring account health, developing long-term client strategies, leveraging CRM tools for sales performance, generating upsells, understanding client marketing needs and competition, acting as a thought leader on industry trends, and fostering an inclusive work environment. Required qualifications include relevant experience or degrees in Sales, Marketing or related fields, fluency in English and French, paid search experience, strong communication and presentation skills, ability to meet revenue targets, analytical skills, and knowledge of the online advertising industry.

What you'll do

  • Ensure account health by proactively monitoring all activities, seeking feedback to grow business, and creating long-term strategies to improve client experience
  • Establish business value of Microsoft’s advertising solutions by understanding clients' marketing needs and delivering advertising solutions aligned with overall marketing strategy
  • Leverage relationships with key client contacts to acquire, retain, and grow business, identify drivers of satisfaction and dissatisfaction, anticipate issues and risks, and establish recovery action plans
  • Adopt Microsoft sales strategies and leverage Unified Client Management (CRM) tools to increase performance, satisfaction, and upsell opportunities
  • Generate business and upsells by developing value-proposition presentations and specialised business plans for clients
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of clients’ marketing needs and competition to anticipate needs and deliver new insights
  • Own and elevate relationships throughout multiple levels at the customer’s organization
  • Act as a thought leader on industry trends, technology, and KPIs, leveraging competitive knowledge to elevate client success and increase revenue
  • Create a collaborative, trust-based work environment respecting communication styles and perspectives, demonstrating Microsoft’s culture of inclusiveness and diversity
  • Contribute to the success of others by promoting mutual learning

Requirements

  • Relevant work experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on digital advertising, or Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field with relevant experience, or MBA in Sales, Marketing, or related field with relevant experience, or equivalent experience
  • Native/Fluent English and French
  • Paid search experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed revenue goals or targets
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs, create and deliver customised, customer-focused pitches and solutions
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Solid knowledge of the online advertising industry, trends, and customers’ needs
