Full job description

Viant is hiring a Senior Account Executive in Minneapolis to drive new business and grow sales of the Viant DSP. The role requires 4-6 years of programmatic/ad tech sales experience with agencies or advertisers, strong knowledge of digital media and programmatic advertising, and excellent communication and sales skills. Responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, consulting with clients, generating sales activities, meeting revenue quotas, negotiating contracts, cultivating client relationships, and expanding Viant's footprint. A bachelor's degree is required. Benefits include fully paid health insurance, paid parental leave, and unlimited PTO. Salary range is $120,000 - $135,000.

What you'll do

  • Lead and inspire sales team participation
  • Identify new business opportunities with agencies and advertisers
  • Consult with clients to align marketing objectives with solutions
  • Generate high volume of sales activities including cold calls, meetings, presentations, proposals
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue quota
  • Drive new and grow existing revenue through long term contracts and negotiation
  • Cultivate client relationships and provide marketing and advertising solutions
  • Expand Viant’s footprint across territory and key accounts by cross-selling and up-selling
  • Provide feedback to company on client needs

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of programmatic/ad tech sales experience with agencies and/or advertisers
  • Strong understanding of digital media, ad tech, data targeting, 1st party data, platform sales, programmatic, behavioral targeting and optimization strategies
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Quickly gain product efficiency across broad set of offerings
  • Smart, articulate, polished, self-driven, highly motivated team player
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Superb organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Consultative, strategic thinker with great energy and enthusiasm for prospecting new business
  • Excellent closing skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in demo-premised and solution-premised selling
  • Bachelor’s degree required
