Full job description

Sales Engineer role based in Mexico City reporting to the Director of Sales Engineering. Responsible for driving growth in Mexico and Latin America by combining technical expertise with consultative selling to position Samba’s enterprise products in Media Activation, TV measurement, planning, tune-in analysis, and outcomes-based strategies. Key duties include collaborating with sales teams, participating in sales cycles, tailoring solutions using SQL, APIs, Python, and cloud platforms, and representing Samba in client and industry meetings. Requires 2-4 years experience in Sales Engineering or related fields in AdTech, Measurement, or MarTech, strong media measurement expertise, bilingual Spanish and English, and familiarity with the LATAM market.

What you'll do

  • Build collaborative relationships with enterprise sales teams across Mexico and LATAM as a trusted resource for product and technical expertise
  • Enhance sales opportunities by joining first-contact client meetings to present all Samba solutions in a trusted, consultative manner
  • Actively participate in the entire sales cycle, from discovery to closing, leveraging deep knowledge of Samba’s offerings to articulate value and drive decision-making
  • Promote Samba’s products with a sales-focused mindset while maintaining trust by aligning solutions to genuine client needs
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, analysing clients’ needs to recommend the best Samba products and demonstrating how they deliver measurable results
  • Probe a client’s business challenges and tailor Samba’s enterprise data or measurement solutions to fit
  • Simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences while providing in-depth explanations to technical stakeholders when needed
  • Address technical challenges collaboratively with Product and Engineering teams, ensuring smooth implementation and seamless client experiences
  • Leverage expertise in media measurement tools, TV tune-in metrics, and outcomes-based analytics to craft technical solutions
  • Utilise knowledge of APIs, clean rooms, SQL, Python, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) to tailor solutions to client needs
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Samba’s products, using data insights to guide sales strategies
  • Partner with internal teams to align product offerings with LATAM market needs, contributing to go-to-market strategies
  • Represent Samba at client meetings, industry events, and strategic discussions across Mexico and Latin America

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Product Management, or a related field in AdTech, Measurement, or MarTech
  • Strong expertise in media measurement, TV measurement, and data services
  • Hands-on experience with tools and technologies including SQL, APIs, ETL workflows, and cloud computing platforms
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a knack for simplifying technical concepts
  • Proven ability to pitch, sell, and negotiate with technically minded stakeholders
  • Fluent in Spanish and English — bilingual communication across client and internal teams is essential
  • Deep familiarity with the Mexican and/or LATAM advertising and media landscape
