Full job description

Sales Engineer role based in New York or LA office reporting to Director of Sales Engineering. Responsibilities include supporting sales teams with technical expertise, participating in sales cycles, presenting Samba's media activation and measurement products, and tailoring solutions using SQL, APIs, Python, and cloud platforms. Requires 2-4 years experience in Sales Engineering or related roles in AdTech, Measurement, or MarTech, strong media measurement knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred. Salary range $115,000 - $135,000 plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, PTO, and bonuses.

What you'll do

  • Build collaborative relationships with enterprise sales teams as a trusted resource for product and technical expertise
  • Join first-contact client meetings to present Samba solutions in a consultative manner
  • Participate in the entire sales cycle from discovery to closing
  • Promote Samba’s products aligning solutions to genuine client needs
  • Serve as a trusted advisor analyzing clients' needs and recommending best Samba products
  • Innovate Samba’s enterprise data or measurement solutions to fit client challenges
  • Simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical and technical stakeholders
  • Address technical challenges collaboratively with Product and Engineering teams
  • Leverage expertise in media measurement tools, TV tune-in metrics, and outcomes-based analytics
  • Utilize knowledge of APIs, clean rooms, SQL, Python, and cloud platforms to tailor solutions
  • Ensure smooth integration of Samba’s products with client systems
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities using data insights
  • Partner with internal teams to align product offerings with market needs
  • Analyze customer feedback and market trends to inform product improvements
  • Work closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and clients for clear communication
  • Represent Samba at client meetings, industry events, and strategic discussions

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Product Management, or related field in AdTech, Measurement, or MarTech
  • Strong expertise in media measurement, TV measurement, and data services
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, APIs, ETL workflows, and cloud computing platforms
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to pitch, sell, and negotiate with technically minded stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus
  • Collaborative and client-focused approach
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and market conditions
