This full-time remote role prioritizes candidates in Eastern and Central time zones. Responsibilities include team building and coaching, defining sales goals, developing outbound sales strategies, pipeline management using CRM tools like Salesforce, collaborating with product and solutions teams, coaching on pitch development, market trend analysis, ensuring smooth client hand-offs, driving operational rigor, and participating in sales discussions. Requirements include proven leadership in digital advertising sales with 7-figure quota achievement, programmatic advertising experience, consultative selling skills, sales leadership philosophy, go-to-market planning expertise, sales technology proficiency, ability to communicate complex concepts, player-coach experience, and willingness to travel occasionally. What you'll do
- Build, coach, and manage a team of ~10 Account Executives focused on new programmatic advertising revenue
- Define team structure and goals to identify, pitch, and close new platform sales deals with agency media teams
- Develop and oversee execution of outbound sales strategies to engage industry sales professionals and drive pipeline generation
- Guide team in building robust pipelines using CRM tools ensuring strong coverage and activity benchmarks
- Collaborate with management, product, and solutions teams to align product development with market demands
- Coach Account Executives on creating value-based pitch decks and research to close new business with executive-level prospects
- Maintain deep understanding of market trends, competitive threats, and client needs and share knowledge with team
- Ensure seamless post-onboarding hand-offs to Account Managers for client success and expansion
- Drive operational rigor including quota setting, forecasting, and sales process optimization
- Participate as a co-selling resource leading and supporting sales discussions with prospective clients
Requirements
- Proven track record of leading teams to hit and exceed 7-figure quotas in a hunter-focused sales environment within digital advertising
- Strong preference for programmatic advertising experience
- Experience leading a team selling directly to independent agency teams through consultative, solution-based selling
- Ability to articulate personal sales leadership and hiring philosophy with success stories of talent development
- Self-starter mentality able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience developing and implementing go-to-market plans including defining Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) and segmentation frameworks
- Expertise across sales tool technology stack with ability to identify best practices and drive execution
- Ability to grasp and communicate complex technical concepts and platform knowledge to diverse audiences
- Recent experience as a player-coach driving sales conversations
- Willingness to travel occasionally to meet clients and support team engagements
