Full job description

Moloco is hiring a Sales Development Representative for its Japan Sales team based in Tokyo. The role involves qualifying inbound leads, engaging outbound prospects, building and managing a lead database, and collaborating with sales and marketing teams to generate pipeline. Candidates should have 2+ years of sales experience, strong communication and time management skills, native Japanese and fluent English, and a proactive, self-starting attitude. Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM and ad-tech industry knowledge is a plus. The position is full-time and on-site.

What you'll do

  • Qualify inbound leads and proactively engage outbound prospects
  • Generate interest and build relationships with key decision-makers
  • Build, nurture, and oversee a high-quality lead database
  • Ensure seamless handoff to the sales team
  • Develop and maintain understanding of companies, markets, and industry trends
  • Craft persuasive outreach messages and strategies
  • Maintain ongoing communication with prospects
  • Collaborate with sales directors, senior leaders, and marketing teams to drive pipeline generation
  • Continuously enhance lead targeting strategies and seek new opportunities
  • Utilize Salesforce, LinkedIn, and Zoominfo to source leads and monitor outreach efforts

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience, ideally in a sales function
  • Proactive, go-getter mentality
  • Proven self-starter with a track record of self-management
  • Strong skills in cold calling, pre-call planning, and time management
  • Skilled in crafting concise, impactful emails and effective communication across channels
  • Enthusiastic about working in a high-energy, fast-paced sales team environment
  • Strong team player
  • Comfortable being measured against individual performance metrics
  • Native Japanese and fluency in English
  • Flexibility to travel to client/industry events as required
  • Prior experience in ad-tech or advertising industry or outreach sales is a plus
  • Experience with sales training and familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms is a plus
