Full job description
Sales Development Intern role at Comscore. Responsibilities include identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, driving pipeline creation by aligning client challenges to Comscore solutions, executing targeted outreach campaigns, translating prospect pain points into positioning, collaborating with sales teams, leveraging prospecting tools, coordinating meetings and follow-ups, refining messaging and targeting strategies, and staying informed on industry trends. Requirements: current student (rising junior/senior), 0-2 years relevant experience in sales/marketing/communications, proactive mindset, familiarity or willingness to learn Gong, ZoomInfo, CRM platforms, strong organizational and time management skills. Compensation is $20/hr. Remote position based in the USA with an option for Reston, Virginia location.
What you'll do
- Identify, engage, and qualify new business opportunities across enterprise brands, agencies, and organizations not currently on Comscore’s client roster
- Drive pipeline creation by aligning prospective clients’ data, measurement, and analytics challenges to Comscore’s solutions
- Develop and execute targeted outreach campaigns across email and sales engagement platforms
- Translate prospect pain points into clear and compelling positioning across Comscore’s audience, media measurement, and analytics offerings
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and client-facing teams to progress qualified opportunities into active pipeline and support successful handoff through sales cycle
- Leverage prospecting and intelligence tools to identify high-value accounts, prioritize outreach, and engage key decision-makers
- Coordinate meetings, follow-up communications, and next steps to move opportunities efficiently through the sales funnel
- Continuously refine messaging, targeting strategies, and workflows to improve conversion rates and overall pipeline performance
- Stay informed on industry trends across media, advertising, data, and measurement to better inform outreach strategy and enhance client engagement
Requirements
- Must be a current student, rising juniors/seniors
- 0 – 2 years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, communications, or a related field
- Highly curious, proactive mindset with a genuine interest in understanding client needs and solving business challenges
- Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) sales and prospecting tools such as Gong, ZoomInfo, and CRM platforms
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
